Week 10 College Football Schedule

Start planning your weekend of college football TV viewing. Week 10 of the 2014 season starts with a bang!

Eric Francis

Hmmm, anyone know who plays tonight? Thursday's marquee matchup features two ranked teams in Florida State and Louisville. I suspect the Cardinals will have a lot of temporary fans tonight because 1) #teamchaos and 2) the Seminole program seems so very dis-likable right now. Will Louisville's #1 ranked defense live up to its billing? Will FSU's off-field distractions finally be too much? Or will Jameis show us why the NFL continues to draft spoiled, entitled quarterbacks in the first round despite all the warning signs?

On Friday, the Cincinnati-Tulane game will be fun just because the quarterbacks have cool names. The Bearcats expect both Gunner Kiel and Munchie Legaux to play. One of Tulane's co-#1's goes by Nick Montana. Yes, THAT Montana.

Saturday's schedule starts a little earlier than normal with Air Force and Army kicking off at 10:30 central. It is your patriotic duty to turn on the TV early. In the B1Gtime, it is Melvin Gordon's turn to have a record-breaking day against the Rutgers defense. Will Gary Nova return after his scary-looking knee injury at Nebraska? It probably doesn't matter. Penn State is coming off a gutsy OT performance against the Buckeyes and is understandably upset about the circumstances surrounding their "loss". Will they build on that or has the wind been knocked out of their sails? Keep an eye on Iowa and NW. History tells us that will be an entertaining game. Did I really just use the word entertaining to describe a game that includes Iowa?

In games that feature two ranked teams TCU will be @ West Virginia and Auburn @ Ole Miss. Both of the SEC teams are currently in the committee's top 4 and only one will be standing Sunday morning. If the Moutaineers can knock off TCU (side note: the O/U on this game is 72!), it probably gives Nebraska a chance to move up--assuming they take care of business against Purdue--which is something we never should assume. #teamchaos fans will be rooting for the Razorbacks to knock off the #1 Bulldogs of MSU. Arkansas has looked good at times this year. Will they pull off the improbable upset or will the curse of #karma continue to bite Bert?

If you stay up late, the PAC12 also features a pair of games in which both teams are ranked. Arizona will be at UCLA and Utah will be at Arizona State. Both should be entertaining games. The O/U for the Wildcats and Bruins is 70.5--the second highest one I saw for this week.
