I'm not thinking it's a good idea when the police have to come in force to make sure the fans behave themselves. Nice job as usual CU.
Some nice highlights of the game.
I had a 45 minute interview with the FAU coach. Really good stuff.
ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit named Zac Lee his #4 first-year starting quarterback in his annual "Herbie" awards. He also picked Nebraska to win the Big XII North... and Missouri his #1 team on the way down.
Let's go people buy up those tickets!
Mandel correctly points out that NU only defeated one BCS conference opponent with a winning record last season...in the regular season. He also ignores the progress the defense (and in fact the entire program) from the start of last season to the end of the season. Mandel also makes the sin of confusing continued improvement to being on the "brink of returning to glory." Nebraska's not there, and winning the Big XII North doesn't mean "Nebraska's back" unless you lower your interpretation of what "glory" means for NU.the regular season. He ignores the progress during the season and how the defense improved from the start of the season to the end of the season. Of course, Mandel further hurts his credibility by talking to Minnesota co-defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove at the start of his column for insight on how to prepare for opponents. Unless by preparation, he means practicing defending extra points and returning kickoffs.
So, Quentin Castille's headed to Division I-AA Northwestern (La.) State. He may just help the school deliver on what it's calling "The Peveto Promise." That is, if fans don't enjoy their experience at the first two home games, they get their money back. New head coach Bradley Dale Peveto's team faces North Dakota on Sept. 19 and Central Arkansas on Oct. 10 in the first two home games.
Fun story. McNeill is truly one of the funniest guys on the team and gives some of the best interviews.
America's college football bloggers have spoken, and slotted the Huskers at #23 in the preseason. Florida is #1, Oklahoma #4, and Virginia Tech #9.
Not in football mind you...but rather their Top 25 Douchiest Colleges. The Longhorns came in at #24, and the Buffs break into the Top 10. HT: Rock M Nation
