NCAA President Dr. Myles Brand passed away earlier today, losing his fight against pancreatic cancer. He was 67. It's pretty easy for college sports fans to use the NCAA as a target, but Brand did quite a bit to move the organization forward. Brand was a NCAA leader who provided a human side to the organization, doing podcasts and starting the blog Double-A Zone. Brand pushed for academic accountability - establishing the APR and Graduation Success Rates - which helped put the spotlight on the "student" in student-athlete. Please keep his family in your prayers.

I'm not thinking it's a good idea when the police have to come in force to make sure the fans behave themselves. Nice job as usual CU.
I had a 45 minute interview with the FAU coach. Really good stuff.
ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit named Zac Lee his #4 first-year starting quarterback in his annual "Herbie" awards. He also picked Nebraska to win the Big XII North... and Missouri his #1 team on the way down.
