Nebraska Football: Huskers Flip Four Star Linebacker Commit from Miami - Signs with Huskers

We kind of heard this coming. Though we should celebrate it nonetheless as Vincent Shavers of Florida has committed and signed his letter of intent with Nebraska today.

Nebraska was able to flip a four star linebacker commit from the Miami Hurricanes in Vincent Shavers. His dad gave us all a heads up that this might be coming last weekend when he tweeted out the following:

Well it was a great pickup for the Huskers as there was quite a hole at the linebacker position.

As of right now he’s the second linebacker in the class (could we be getting a third?) to go along with Willis McGahee IV who is also from Florida.

Vincent Shavers is the 50th ranked linebacker in the country and the 70th ranked player in the state of Florida.
