It looked as if Nebraska hit the lottery as rumors indicated that both Kyle McCord and Dylan Raiola were coming to Nebraska. Instead McCord is moving on from Nebraska and looking elsewhere. So where does that put Nebraska? If the rumors of Dylan Raiola flipping to Nebraska are true, will the Huskers still go after a transfer quarterback? Here is the latest.
MJ Morris, NC State to Maryland
Tyler Van Dyke, Miami to Wisconsin
Grayson McCall, Coastal Carolina to North Carolina State
Riley Leonard, Duke to Notre Dame
Sam Leavitt, Michigan State to Arizona State
Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma to Oregon
Blake Shapen, Baylor to Mississippi State
Tyler Shough, Texas Tech to Louisville
Max Brosmer, New Hampshire to Minnesota
Kyle McCord, Ohio State
Did the possibility/likelihood of Dylan Raiola coming scare off Kyle McCord? Was there an issue that McCord didn’t like the fit at Nebraska? We may find out at some point. But for now McCord isn’t coming. The only other school that seems to have interest in McCord is Syracuse.
Nebraska Has Met With
Cam Ward, Washington State
While Ward hasn’t committed, he is being linked to Miami. I would have thought that Ohio State or USC was a possibility, but it looks like the Hurricanes are flexing their NIL muscles and going for the top quarterback because they need to win now.
Will Howard, Kansas State
There hasn’t been much Will Howard buzz, with Miami and USC being the teams that he’s most linked to. Miami seems to be going with Cam Ward, so does that mean that Howard is USC bound? Is there another team that he’s looking at that hasn’t been mentioned? At this point I don’t see him coming to Nebraska.
Casey Thompson, Florida Atlantic
Nobody really saw this coming, but could the Huskers reunite with Thompson? Casey was recently spotted in Lincoln and images of his name on the student directory have also popped up on X. Thompson could be a good bridge to Raiola (if he comes) but is Thompson healthy after his ACL?
Name to Keep an Eye On
Gerry Bohanon, South Florida
Nebraska likely needs someone to come in and add depth and maybe some experience. Would Bohanon be a nice short term bridge while Dylan Raiola (if he comes) gets his feet wet? Would Bohanon be comfortable being the backup for a Big Ten school? Remember he actually played for Rhule at Baylor.
Top Names Still Undecided but Not Coming
DJ Uiagalelei, Oregon State
Dante Moore, UCLA
Aidan Chiles, Oregon State
Dequan Finn, Toledo
