NCAA Football: Iowa at Nebraska Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

Hat tip to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald with the following tweet.

Folks. That’s it. At least for me. We can look at all of the statistics and how Nebraska is the first football team since the stone age to not have a thousand yard passer, receiver or running back.

We can talk about all of the things the Huskers failed at. We can also talk about all the things that this staff got right.

But the key fact that, if it is not addressed, that will continue to hold Nebraska back is turnovers.

A team that finishes 2nd in rush offense and 3rd in rush defense should win more than five games.

However, turnovers are the great equalizer. They are also the knife into the chest of a team trying to win football games. And when you are turning the ball over at such an alarming rate it really does not matter what else you do.

If the turnovers are not fixed then Nebraska will not be fixed.

Sipple: Rhule, Nebraska should be open to paying price for QB
Just five days after the end of Nebraska’s football season, it would be silly to think Matt Rhule would have all the answers regarding the future of his team’s quarterback position.

He wasn’t sure Wednesday exactly how many of the current QBs would return. For instance, he hadn’t met with Jeff Sims.

Yes, of course, Rhule is open to looking to the transfer portal for help.

Rhule offers thoughts on Husker QBs, portal discussion
It is a repetitive verse that will keep spinning on the record player throughout the weeks and months ahead: What's Nebraska quarterback situation look like in 2024?

Perhaps the most important question of them all. One the Huskers have to nail after a year in which there were 31 turnovers on offense and a 52.1 completion percentage from the QBs.

Do you believe in the Orlando Magic? + non-In-Season Tournament games are fun too! - The Athletic
Nobody will be blown away by the Magic’s 139-120 home win against a horrible, 3-15 Wizards squad.

But what if I told you Orlando’s win over Washington made eight straight wins, marking the NBA’s longest active win streak and leaving the Magic one shy of tying the franchise record? What if I told you the Magic were one game behind the East-leading Celtics? Should you take them seriously? Is this just a fad, like pogs? We need self-Q&A, in which I grill yours truly with hard-hitting questions.

Does not sound like it.

NFL Playoff Picture: Eagles are still in good shape even if they lose to 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers-Philadelphia Eagles game was supposed to determine who hosted an NFC championship game rematch. And it still might.

Or, it might not mean much at all in the playoff picture.

As Aaron Rodgers returns to Jets practice, there might be a good reason he's pushed so hard to come back
With the death rattle for the New York Jets’ 2023 season looming, the question put to head coach Robert Saleh this past Friday night was unavoidable, if not entirely predictable.
