Happy Thanksgiving Corn Nation! I hope you got your post-turkey nap in early as we have lots of sports to watch today! The Husker women are at the St. Pete Showcase in Florida and we have two more NFL games as well (Commanders/Cowboys and Seahawks/49ers).

As always, I’m thankful you are joining us for Husker sports! I’m also thankful that Jaz Shelley’s ankle injury wasn’t serious adn that Maddie Krull is back in the lineup. The ladies were very shorthanded for a couple of games.

Scouting The Lamar Cardinals

Coach Aqua Franklin leads Lamar to the St. Pete Showcase with a 4-1 record. The Cardinals own wins over UT Arlington, Texas College and LSU-Alexandria along with a 61-44 setback at Texas Tech. Franklin was a starting point guard at Texas A&M under Coach Gary Blair. She led the Aggies to the 2008 NCAA Elite Eight as a senior, before being chosen by Sacramento in the 2008 WNBA Draft. She helped the Monarchs to the playoffs in 2008, before concluding her playing career with the Seattle Storm in 2009.
