Five Reasons Nebraska Will Win: Iowa

The Heroes Trophy wiil stay in Lincoln.

NCAA Football: Nebraska at Wisconsin Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

It’s hard to believe that we are already at the last game of the regular season.

I wasn’t sure what to expect out of the season and Coach Rhule’s first year, but it does give me hope for the future.

The future starts on Friday. The Huskers are going to defeat the Hawkeyes and make their way to a bowl game.

#1 THE SENIORS DESERVE IT

The seniors on this team have been through alot. They have battled and they deserve to be sent out of Memorial Stadium with a win. Luke Reimer and Quinton Newsome are the only two seniors that have been with this team since the beginning, but they are two that have given so much to this team as well. Expect big things from both of these guys on Friday. They won’t be leaving Lincoln without a big game.

All of the seniors need the win this week!

#2 OFFENSE

Let’s face it, neither of these teams has been too potent on offense all season long. Last I checked the overs for this game is something like 26.5.

Whichever team has the offense that can string together some points is going to win this game.

I believe that will be the Huskers. Chubba Purdy had a good outing last week. He showed mostly accurate passing and some quick feet. Iowa has some tough defense, but the Huskers are going to find ways to exploit it and get the win.

#3 THE RULE OF THREE

In October the Huskers went on a three game winning streak. In November they have been on a a three game losing streak. Now the only logical solution is that Nebraska wins again. Four losses in a row just doesn’t make any sense.

#4 THE CURSE WAS BROKEN LAST YEAR

The Bo Pelini curse was broken last year (well at least the Iowa part of it, maybe not the overtime part), so we can quit losing to them. Last year Nebraska did it in Iowa City and this year they’ll do it in Lincoln.

#5 I’M NOT FREEZING MY ASS OFF FOR A LOSS.

I think that’s pretty self explanatory.

I can’t wait to watch the Huskers win this week!
