“Are you panicking? I’m not panicking! Not at all!” I said in a panicking shriek!
This is no secret. Nebraska’s RB room is currently Paris Hilton skinny. Returning in 2024, we have:
- Emmett Johnson, who has developed himself into a dynamic ballcarrier the last few weeks but our offensive coordinator refuses to feed him the ball
- Rahmir Johnson, coming off a season ending shoulder injury, and hasn’t been much more than a change of pace back
- Gabe Ervin, coming off of a serious hip injury that (rumored) could affect his playing career
- Kwinten Ives, freshman from New Jersey that still can’t play despite our cupboard being bare
This is Sam Cassell ugly. We are at the brink of an absolute unmitigated disaster. This might be the thinnest the RB position has ever been at Nebraska. Don’t worry! Guess who we have coming to town for Black Friday?
Meet Dylan! Dylan Riley hails from Moreno Valley in southern California & plays his prep ball for Rancho Verde High School. Rancho Verde is the alma mater of former USC standout/Dallas Cowboys superstar/future Hall of Famer Tyron Smith.
WOW! Dylan is an absolutely dynamic tailback with athleticism in spades! You want to know how athletic he is? The young man has been timed at 10.76 in the 100 meter dash! As a junior in 2022, Dylan totaled over 1600 rushing yards and 13 TDs in 13 games. At a listed 6’0” and 185 pounds, he has the type of frame that can easily add another 20-25 pounds. Dylan is currently committed to Boise State & has not officially received an offer from Nebraska, but should receive one in short order following his visit, maybe even sooner.
After Kewan Lacy’s departure from our 2024 recruiting class, things seemed dim and hopeless. With EJ Barthel leaving no stone unturned, I feel much, much better about where we stand currently. I hope Dylan enjoys the game and earns a Husker offer!
As always, thanks for reading and Go Big Red!
