Players Of The Game - Wisconsin

We always find a way to play piss poor in overtime.

NCAA Football: Nebraska at Wisconsin Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

After the 1st quarter, the offense completely disappeared. That’s an evergreen statement at this point but words cannot describe how brutal this offense has been. The fact that we may finish the season on a 4 game losing streak is an absolute travesty & complete football malpractice. Fans attempted to make a fracas about Tanner Mordecai’s scrambling yardage against our defense, but in modern football, if your defense holds the other team to 17 points in regulation, you are supposed to win that game. The offense’s first play in extra innings literally told me all I needed to know about the doofus we have calling our offense. Heads have to roll & I think I know a pretty good candidate. Here are your players of the game.

Marques Buford Jr.

The junior safety from DeSoto, Texas has bounced back nicely after suffering a torn ACL against Wisconsin last season. He led the team in tackles with 10 total (9 solo) and also added 1.5 tackles for loss.

Phalen Sanford

The senior defensive back from Benkelman, Nebraska laid his life on the line Saturday night in Camp Randall!

Sanford’s senior year has been his best to date. It sucks that he had to wait until his last year for him to finally prove himself, but he is definitely making the most of his opportunities.

As always, thanks for reading & Go Big Red!
