In the first half, Nebraska had to rely on scoring runs of 6-0 and 5-0 late in the period to establish a 36-28 lead going into halftime. This momentum carried over into the second half, allowing them to extend their lead to 16 points before the Seawolves managed to narrow the gap to just seven points.
