Here we go!
Nebraska has a chance to build on their moral victory game with Oklahoma. Key for the game is how our Blackshirt defense does against the Spartan offense. Can we keep the big plays to a minimum?
The families and Mike Sadler and Sam Foltz are on the field with the captains for the coin toss.

Nebraska wins the toss and defers.
First Quarter Summary
Neither offense can get going. Nebraska’s defense is playing very well.

Adrian Martinez was injured on the first series, and left the field for a bit. Logan Smothers played in his absence and didn’t look too bad in the run/option game. He missed an open Zavier Betts.
Nebraska is losing the battle of field position as the Spartans are continually starting close to mid-field while our beloved Huskers start in the shadow of our own end zone.
Michigan State 7 - 0
The Spartans start near midfield, rush for 8, then pass for 12. Then Payton Thorne hits Jayden Reed on a flea-flicker for a Michigan State lead.
Touchdown Scored by J.Reed on a pass from P.Thorne
Scoring Drive: 3 plays, 55 yards, 0:52
PAT KICK by M.Coghlin GOOD
Michigan State 7 - Nebraska 3
Nebraska’s Adrian Martinez escapes a sure sack, then scrambles 45 yards and gets hit out of bounds LOW on a sure cheap shot by Angelo Grose. There’s no need for Grose to take a shot at Martinez’ knees but he does anyway. Out of bounds.

Personal foul, Nebraska moves to the 9. Then Bryce Benhart false starts for the fourth false start penalty SO FAR on the offensive line. The drive stalls.
Connor Culp hits a field goal.
Nebraska 28 yd FG
Scoring Drive: 7 plays, 65 yards, 2:46
Michigan State 10 - Nebraska 3
Michigan State kicks a nice kick return to their 43, hence the importance of touchbacks. Michigan State completes a 35 yard pass to Nebraska 22, followed by a good Kenneth Walker run.
Michigan State’s drive stalls when Thorne is sacked for a three-yard loss.
Matt Coghlin hits a field goal.
Michigan St. 26 yd FG
Scoring Drive: 6 plays, 49 yards, 2:54
Nebraska 10 - Michigan State 10
Adrian Martinez shits magic mushrooms all the way down the field. He escapes a sack, scrambles to hit Betts for a first down. On 4th and 1, Nebraska runs a speed option for a Rahmir Johnson run to the 12.
Next, Nebraska scores IN THE RED ZONE!!!!! Adrian Martinez keeps the ball (faked me out) and scrambles up the middle for a 12-yard touch down.
Nebraska 12 yd TD
Rushing Touchdown Scored by A.Martinez
Scoring Drive: 9 plays, 75 yards, 4:00
PAT KICK by C.Culp GOOD
Michigan State 13, Nebraska 10
Sparty sets at their own 30, then makes their way to the Nebraska 9. Big play - 35-yard reception to Connor Heyward who bashed his way down the field. Nebraska makes a stand to force a field goal.
Matt Coghlin hits a 27-yard field goal.
The Final Drive
Nebraska punted the ball back to Michigan State. Kind of. A 7-yard punt allowed Sparty to drive down the field for a field goal attempt, which was blocked.
