The Huskers will be coming off a road game at No. 3 Oklahoma, while the Spartans will be back home after a road trip to Miami (FL.) to take on the No. 25 Hurricanes. Nebraska is 2-1 following a Week Zero loss to Illinois and wins over FCS Fordham and Mid-American Conference member Buffalo. The Spartans are 2-0 after wins at Northwestern and over FCS Youngstown State.
Nebraska will be making its first trip to Spartan Stadium since 2014, a game that saw the No. 19 Huskers fall to the No. 10 Spartans despite a furious comeback late in the game by Nebraska. Since joining the Big Ten, Nebraska is 4-2 against Michigan State (1-1 in East Lansing) with an average score difference of 7.8 points.
This will mark the first regular season night game for Nebraska since a 34-7 loss at Minnesota Oct. 12, 2019, and the first night game since the 28-21 “Champions Week” victory at Rutgers Dec. 18, 2020. The full slate of Big Ten games for Saturday, Sept. 25 is below.
