The 2021 preseason D1 Volleyball rankings are out and our beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers are ranked #5.
Texas starts the season at #1, followed by Wisconsin, last year’s champion Kentucky, and Washington make the top four.
Ranked Big Ten teams include #2 Wisconsin, #5 Nebraska, #7 Minnesota, #8 Purdue, #11 Ohio State, and #12 Penn State. That’s a whole lotta Big Ten right there.
With the return of Lexi Sun, Nicklin Hames, and (dependent upon recovery from injury) Lauren Stivrins, Nebraska should be ready to make a run at a Big Ten Championship and National title.
They began pursuit of that goal in less than two weeks as Nebraska starts play August 27-28 in the Husker Invitational where they will take on Tulsa, Colgate, and Kansas STate at the Devaney Center.
Our beloved Huskers finished last season with a record of 16-3 (14-2 in the Big Ten) and ranked #6 in the nation.
