Oh, wait it’s a block quote.

The No. 2 seed Nebraska baseball team (31-12) opens the 2021 NCAA Tournament on Friday night at 7 PM in Fayetteville, Ark., against the No. 3 seed Northeastern Huskies (36-10, 20-3 CAA). It will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Hey, I’m trying. I just got back late last night after spending a week in Texas. I was forced to wear pants the majority of the time. I had to be around people, and I couldn’t just check out and take a nap whenever I wanted.

IT WAS HELL.

Nebraska takes on Northeastern this evening.

Friday, June 4 (7 PM)

Pitching: LHP Cade Povich (6-1) vs. RHP Sebastian Keane (6-1)

TV: None

Streaming: ESPN3

Radio: Husker Sports Network

Who the hell is Northeastern?

Northeastern is located in Boston. They are the Huskies, and their logo looks like it was stolen from every other “Husky” logo ever. They have an enrollment of around 14,000 students.

Northeastern is in the NCAA tournament by virtue of winning the Colonial Conference. They have a 36-10 record, 20-3 in the Colonial Conference. The conference includes Towson, UNCW, Hofstra, Delaware, Elon, Charleston, James Madison and William & Mary. The Huskies rather beat the hell out of everyone in the conference.

They have a RPI of 30. UNCW is the only other conference team that has an RPI under 100 (65).
