Fresh off clinching their first conference championship since 2017, and winning their 8th game in a row in dominating fashion, Nebraska has reentered multiple national polls. This is the teams first reappearance since before the Rutgers series.
As for the rest of the Big Ten, Maryland and Michigan make an occasional appearance. They are the two teams besides Nebraska considered to be “in” the tournament at this point in the season, with Indiana on the bubble.
The multitude of college baseball polls come out at different points during the day, so this page will be updated as they roll out.
D1Baseball - 20 - Maryland enters the rankings at 25, with Michigan dropping out
Baseball America - 19

Collegiate Baseball - 24 - They do a top 30 and have Michigan still hanging on at 26
USA Today/Coaches - 25
Perfect Game - 20
NCBWA - 26 - They are another publication that does a Top 30
These rankings are the Huskers’ highest rankings since 2015. You may remember that week in Husker baseball history. It came after the memorable series with Texas making their first trip to Haymarket Park since Nebraska left the Big XII, only for the Longhorns to be swept by maybe the best pitched series in Husker history. NU gave up 3 runs on 12 hits in 33 innings, while striking out 33 batters on the #16 ranked Longhorns. It was 33 innings because of that great 1-0, 15 inning win in game 2.
And hey, since we are on the topic of polls, why not have a look back at the preseason B1G poll and see how that is looking at the moment! Oh... oh no!
