The former three-star all-purpose back out of Georgia will be looking for a new home as Ronald Thompkins announced today that he will enter the transfer portal.
He was never fully healthy as he suffered two knee injuries while in high school. If every single running back at Nebraska were fully healthy he would probably have been the best of the bunch but as we know that was not the reality.
Last year he played two games and finished with 24 rushing yards on five carries. He did catch one pass for 10 yards.
He will likely be the first of several impending transfers.
We wish Thompkins good luck and we hope he finds a great landing spot.
Nebraska has five remaining scholarship running backs on the roster.
