Great news from small-town Nebraska!
I am excited to announce I am officially committing to the University of Nebraska. I want to thank God for blessing me. I want to thank Coach Ruud, Coach Beckton, and Coach Frost for believing in me. I would like to thank my parents, grandparents and sisters for their support. pic.twitter.com/oozxpywt8j

The Huskers landed the commitment of in-state tight end Benjamin Brahmer Friday afternoon. Ben hails from Pierce in the northeastern region of the state & plays his prep ball for Pierce High. In 2020, he recorded 44 catches, 747 yards &, 10 TDs for Pierce.
Upon watching his film, I was very impressed. He reminds me a lot of Bell West TE Micah Riley. He plays mostly in-line, is a solid blocker, runs great routes, has great hands & is a plus athlete. At 6'6 185 he is a little slim but there is a good amount of time before he actually gets on the field for the Huskers.
The first team to offer Ben was actually Iowa State, who offered him February 10th. Nebraska offered 9 days later on the 19th. Roughly a month & a half of deliberation and Ben made his choice to stay home.
He is the first commitment in Nebraska's 2023 recruiting class & it is so early we do not even have a ranking for the class yet. It will surely move upward.
Welcome to Nebraska, Ben! GBR!
