Nebraska looks to bounce back against the Boilermakers

Nebraska gets a chance to go back out on the diamond and look for their first win of the season today against the Purdue Boilermakers in a doubleheader. Nebraska had three leads yesterday, but could not get the job done falling to the Boilermakers 6-5.

Chance Hroch gets the start for the Huskers in the first game of the doubleheader. The graduate transfer from New Mexico will go against Calvin Schapira of Purdue. Hroch will be interesting to watch as he pitched in a very friendly hitter environment. Schapira of Purdue is a big lefty who dominated in junior college last season.

The big story of yesterday was the fact that the Huskers could not get a hit with runners in scoring position. Nebraska went 0-8 and scored four runs on home runs, and another on a passed ball. Nebraska needs to be better on stringing together offensive rallies if they want to take the series from Purdue.
