Cornhuskers React: Struggling Blue Bloods and Surging Husker Confidence

National Voting Results

This season has been a story of struggling blue bloods. For the first time in decades, Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Kansas, Michigan State, and Indiana were all unranked in the AP at the same time. A number of those programs are also staring at NCAA tournament appearance streaks likely ending as well. Which of them is most likely to still make the tournament, though?

The exact results in full were:

1. Michigan State: 34%
2. Duke: 34%
3. Kentucky: 18%
4. None: 15%

What about the flip side of powerhouse mid-majors? Gonzaga is undefeated and it is unlikely to lose a game prior to the NCAA tournament. Did fans agree with that assessment?

Cornhusker Fans’ Results

Fan confidence jumped 12-points this week following a win over Minnesota (voting started prior to Monday’s win over Rutgers, but finished after). This is the highest fan confidence has been since Jan. 19 when it was at 87 percent during the extended layoff due to COVID-19 issues.

Top-50 Programs

SB Nation created a deeply flawed list of the top-50 basketball teams for men and women of all time this week. After releasing it, the Reacts survey double-dipped and polled fans about some of the aspects of results. You can find the full list of men’s teams here and women’s teams here. There were a lot of questions in this section, so with that in mind, I am just going to post the results and then add my own survey question at the bottom.
