Preview

Nebraska heads to University Park, PA to take on the Nittany Lions of Penn State. This, to be honest, could be the last good chance that the Huskers have to knock off a Big Ten opponent this season. Penn State has interim head coach Jim Ferry leading them for now as previous coach Pat Chambers was dismissed after an internal investigation.

While the Nittany Lions have struggled this season, they have knocked off some pretty decent teams this season. Most notably #14 Wisconsin back in January along with Rutgers and Virginia. All of which will be heading to the NCAA Tournament.

They are an offensive lead team. Most notably is guard Myron Jones. Myron is averaging 14.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. All while shooting 43% from beyond the arch. Nebraska will have to push pressure on him early to keep him from getting Penn State in the lead.

Next to Jones is Izaiah Brockerton. The 6’4” guard is averaging 13.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. A strong player who has been a major asset to the Nittay Lions this season.

Their defense has much to be desired and is technically worse than the Huskers this season. Nebraska can take advantage of this with smart offensive play and key shooting early on. This is a winnable game. Probably the last really winnable game this season outside of the back to back games against Maryland this upcoming week.
