First Quarter
The Huskers opened the scoring with back to back threes by Sam Haiby and Isabelle Bourne to take a 6-0 lead. Iowa has a good offense and took their first lead (11-10) at 6:26.
Ashley Scoggin got in on the three point party. At the media timeout, the Hawkeyes held a 16-13 lead. This is a high scoring game so far with zero fouls called this far.
Iowa is paying a lot of attention to Kate Cain so Bella Cravens is taking advantage of the space and has six points but rolled an ankle and left the game.
Issie Bourne tied the game at 16-16 at 3:15 and then the lead with a free throw. This is the first foul of the game.

Second Quarter
The Huskers scored the first four points and held Iowa scoreless for the first four minutes of the quarter. The Hawkeyes went on a run of their own the hold a 34-27 lead at the media timeout.
The Huskers forced a shot clock violation and Annika Stewart made an athletic move to get the layup. A minute or so later she hit free throws to bring Nebraska within one (34-33 Iowa).
After a sizzling 3-3 start from the three point line, the Huskers have missed nine in a row.
Iowa got a buzzer beating layup to take a 41-35 lead into the half.
Third Quarter
Sam Haiby started the half with a steal and layup (41-37 Iowa). The Huskers would claw within one or two and then Iowa would answer to maintain a four to five point lead.
Sam Haiby is starting to catch fire offensively as she brought Nebraska within two (52-50 Iowa) at the media timeout.
The Huskers were unable to tie the game out of the timeout despite two good looks at the hoop.
Iowa took advantage and got out to a twelve point lead with a minute left in the quarter (62-50). The Husker srtreak of missed threes has reached 12.

Fourth Quarter
MiCole Clayton broke the three point drought (67-57 Iowa) but the Hawkeyes continued to grow their lead to 16 (75-59 Iowa).
The score was 78-61 Iowa at the media timeout.
But the Huskers weren't done yet. They went on a 13 pt run to close within four (78-74 Iowa) with 2:17. Timeout.
One of the Iowa starters fouled out at 1:56. A long three by Iowa extended the lead (81-74) as the clock went under a minute.
The Huskers began to foul. However, the Hawkeyes made a mistake and fouled Sam Haiby on a three point shot with 37 seconds. She hit all three (82-77 Iowa). The Hawkeyes made a similar mistake and fouled Bella Cravens and she made both shots. Iowa hit their free throws as well whenever they were fouled. Sam Haiby scored the final points of the game on a layup.

Stats and Observations
Sam Haiby led the Huskers with 28 points. Bella Cravens had 12 and Ashley Scoggin 10. Bella Cravens and Annika Stewart led in the rebounding department with seven apiece.
It was good to see such a high level of offensive production for Nebraska, but unfortunately, that is the game that Iowa wanted. The fabulous Hawkeye freshman Caitlin Clark scored 39 points (with 10 rebounds). She is going to be a problem for the Big Ten for several more years.
The Huskers shot 45% from the field (30-66) while the Hawkeyes shot 51% (30-59). Nebraska only shot 27% from three point land (7-26) while Iowa was 12 of 24 for 50%. The Hawkeyes outrebounded Nebraska 37-33 while Nebraska won the turnover battle 10-16.
