I’m not even sure what to say about this game. I expected Nebraska to lay down and get beat 56-10. They didn’t. On the other hand, they didn’t lose by just one score, so there’s that.
We are so close.
We didn’t see Jaquez Yant, even though we ran the ball successfully at times today. We saw Markese Stepp show up like a long lost child for a couple plays. No Sevion Morrison.
The biggest question mark for me?
We’re 3-6. We’re down by six points to the #5 team in the nation. Adrian Martinez just missed an open receiver not named Austin Allen on third and 4. Said receiver would have had a first down and possibly scored.
Scott chooses a field goal. Nebraska has momentum on his side. Contreras, God save him, misses the field goal. Nebraska is the worst kicking school in the nation and he chooses a field goal at that point in the game.
We are so close.
I have no idea what we’re doing on offense other than fading like an old men with no viagra in the red zone.
Are we going to spend this week tearing each other apart about firing Scott Frost?
I hope not. We have two more games left. We could end up 5-7. WE COULD. (Why do I do this to myself?)
We are so close.
Fuck Everything.
Go Big Red.
