Well, the past homecoming weekend worked out well not just for the the football team but also Fred Hoiberg’s basketball squad. The Huskers pulled out a win for the 2022 signing class with Denim Dawson of California.
He was in attendance last Friday for the scrimmage and also on Saturday for the homecoming festivities and Nebraska win against Northwestern. Today he announced his commitment to joining the 2022 Nebraska men’s basketball recruiting class.
Denim is a three start wing who will be playing at Southern California Academy this upcoming year after playing his junior year at Orange Lutheran. He is 6’5” and roughly 180lbs. He averaged 16 points and 5 rebounds per game during this past year and shot almost 40% from beyond the three point line.
Nebraska beat out Georgia Tech, Iona, and DePaul for his talents. Not a bad lineup and even more impressive since he was offered a scholarship by Fred merely three weeks ago.
The Huskers now have three commitments for the 2022 class with Denim joining Blaise Keita, and Ramel Lloyd Jr.
