Nebraska seniors Lauren Stivrins and Lexi Sun were voted to the Preseason All-Big Ten Volleyball Team by the conference head coaches yesterday, while our beloved Huskers were chosen #3 behind Wisconsin and Minnesota in the preseason poll. Wisconsin was voted as the unanimous #1 team in the Big Ten. The Badgers won the Big Ten the last time there was a season, and ended up losing to the Stanford Cardinals in the NCAA final.

Stivrins is a two-time AVCA All-American and two-time All Big ten first-teamer. She led the Huskers to an eighth straight NCAA Regional Final appearance and became the 32nd Husker all-time to earn multiple AVCA All-America honors in a career.

Sun was All-America in 2019 and was first-team All Big Ten in 2019 for the first time. She earned AVCA All-America honorable mention as a freshman at Texas in 2017 before chosing good over evil in her transfer to Nebraska.
