This week I’ve really been feeling the woes of being a poor Fantasy Football manager.
The season started well, I got first pick in the draft and won my first game by many points. I was feeling really good about myself.
Then, the second week came and the shit talking I was doing to my brother turned out to be a bad idea. The points were no where near where I thought they’d be. Needless to say, I lost.
On Wednesday of last week I remembered that I needed to check my lineup and get ready for the new week. But I quickly forgot and soon came Thursday. Thursday morning before work I finally remembered to look. My hopes were crushed.
You remember that first draft pick, it was Christian McCaffrey. I was sad to see he was out for 4-6 weeks. My other running backs to replace him weren’t great, so I bid on James Robinson.
I didn’t get a chance to check if I got Robinson until later in the day. I told myself when I got home I’d look, but I didn’t remember until 7:30. He didn’t have a game until 8. I was going to sneak it in.
Nope.
It turns out that was 8 Eastern Time and I was too late. James Robinson got 30 points last week. That was a gut punch.
While feeling sorry for myself, I also noticed that DeVante Adams, who had been so successful in week one, was doubtful.
Then, my defense got 0 points.
I think it may all be karma, because I should’ve picked up Rex Burkhead instead. Sigh.
So here I am licking my wounds and crying to you. Lucky you.
Now on to Flakes.
