Of Bangarangs And Daggers Episode 56: Reunited Players, NBA Draft Update, and All-Decade Wins

Patrick and Kevin are back for another episode and once again the offseason leaves a little bit of everything topic wise

First off, we apologize for the quality of this week’s episode as we experienced technical difficulties (aka an awful internet connection). But thus Kevin and Patrick persisted and hope you enjoy the latest episode of Nebrasketball coverage.

First up is the news that the separated Nebraska Cornhuskers Yvan Ouedraogo and Thorir Thorbjarnarson have been reunited with the team in Lincoln. The two players were stranded for the last few weeks overseas as they awaited the ability to return to stateside due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the happy news, we shift to the sad update that former Husker Haanif Cheatham did not receive an invite to the [might be held in the future] NBA Draft Combine. However, Kevin breaks down the 11 Big Ten players who did receive an invite. He and Patrick discuss who might still drop out before the Monday deadline and come back for another season.

Also at one point the question is brought up what mythical creature is Coach Hoiberg’s favorite? Be sure to let us know in the comments or by reply on Twitter!

Finally, as mentioned in Episode 55, we discuss our top ten wins of the last decade by the Cornhuskers. You can follow along with Top 10 Wins Party 1 (6-10) and Top 10 Part 2 (1-5). With that, it’s a wrap on this week’s episode, but be sure to tell us what we got right or wrong in the comments!
