On Thursday morning, the University of Nebraska put out a release regarding their commitment to the Big Ten. Showing their full commitment to the conference.

“The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a fully committed member of the Big Ten Conference. It is an unparalleled athletic and academic alliance,” the statement read.
“We have the greatest fans in college athletics. This has been a difficult and disappointing week for the Husker family. We all look forward to the day when we can cheer on our student-athletes, on the field and in the arena.”
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Ronnie Green
- University of Nebraska System President Ted Carter
Some of you may be a little disappointed in this as many were hoping for Nebraska to continue to look for other teams to play football this fall. From what it looks like, that endeavor is over.
The security that a conference like the Big Ten can give to a school is quite large. In all honesty, there is a lot to lose and a lot of unknowns if Nebraska or any school were to leave a conference right now. Especially one as large as the Big Ten. We will update you with more information as it comes.
So, the next step is to prepare for a spring football season. GBR!
