It may still be 100 days away, but the Myrtle Beach Invitational has some news for fans of the Nebraska Cornhuskers that could impact the tournament bracket when it is finally released.
Per the original tournament announcement:
“The event, taking place November 19, 20 and 22, at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., will feature Charlotte 49ers (Conference USA), Dayton Flyers (Atlantic 10), Loyola Ramblers (Missouri Valley), Missouri Tigers (Southeastern), Nebraska Cornhuskers (Big Ten), Penn Quakers (Ivy), Pittsburgh Panthers (Atlantic Coast) and Utah State Aggies (Mountain West).
However, Penn is a member of the Ivy League who has since announced all fall academic semester sports are cancelled. This would obviously include the basketball season prior to January 2021. The tournament has announced today that the Furman Paladins will be replacing the Quakers.
