BOOM! Prep School Athlete Marques Buford is N!

Huskers land the No. 1 prep school player in the country.

Great news from the land you have to drive through on I-95 between New York and Boston!

The Nebraska Cornhuskers landed the commitment of 3* prep school athlete Marques Buford Saturday afternoon. Marques attends St. Thomas More Prep in Oakdale, Connecticut, where he is spending a gap year. Marques originally graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Cedar Hill, Texas, the same school as ousted RB Maurice Washington. Additionally, he is originally from Chicago suburb Bolingbrook, Illinois, and spent his first two years at Bolingbrook High.

He is eerily similar to 2020 signee Alante Brown. He is the #1 prep school player in the country, originally from the Chicago area, and he is ELECTRIC on film!

He is EXPLOSION personified. He is making chunk plays and scoring long touchdowns on offense. Defensively he is shutting down receivers and delivering hits with conviction. With Coach Fisher and Coach Chins as his lead recruiters, it looks like he is being recruited to play defensive back for the Blackshirts. He chose Nebraska after considering the California Golden Bears, Pittsburgh Panthers, Washington State Cougars and Texas A&M Aggies.

With the commitment of Mr. Buford, Nebraska's 2021 recruiting class is now considered the 38th best in the nation and tenth in the Big Ten according to 247, while ranking 31st in the nation according to Rivals.

Welcome to Nebraska, Marques! GBR!
