The Cornhuskers are still hoping to sway the home state 5-star prospect as his national profile closes in on top-10 status.

The stock of Millard North’s five-star prospect Hunter Sallis continues to rise nationally as he is currently ranked in the top ten at his position. The rising senior combo guard in the 2021 class stands 6 foot-4 and weighs in at 165 pounds.

Hunter Sallis is a consensus 5-star recruit per 247 composite. The site’s composite listing ranks him No. 19 nationally, No. 2 at his position of combo guard, and No. 1 in the state. His national composite ranking has skyrocketed up from No. 68 in the country around this time last year.

Rivals lists Sallis as a 5-star, but 247 and ESPN both list him as a 4-star. Husker fans will likely hope that Rivals FanFutureCast proves accurate as that forecasts him as picking home state Nebraska. Meanwhile their FutureCast currently projects Kansas by a far wider margin.

Sallis made the 2020 All-Nebraska first team. He also helped Millard North reach the state finals while setting school records for points in a season (644) and in career (1,175).

247 lists him as “Warm” toward offers from the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals, and UCLA Bruins. He also has offers from Alabama, Arkansas, California, Creighton Bluejays, Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri, North Carolina Tar Heels, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Marquette, and Wisconsin Badgers but is listed as “Cool” towards those schools. Overall he holds offers from 19 schools.
