In case you haven’t heard Clester Johnson’s son Keagan Johnson committed to Iowa. Nebraska and Iowa were the final two.
Two issues with that is that his dad played for Nebraska and Keagan goes to high school at Bellevue West.
So why pick Iowa?
Because Iowa is a better football program than Nebraska. That is undeniable. Iowa puts players into the NFL consistently and they win more than Nebraska. Nebraska has lost five straight to Iowa.
If this coming college football season doesn’t happen (though it currently sounds like they are going to do whatever they can to make it happen), then it would be a huge blow to Scott Frost’s program.
He would have to go into ANOTHER recruiting cycle trying to sell “what will be” while Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota gets to sell “what is already happening.”
Hopefully the season happens so Scott Frost won’t have to sell “what will be.” All he has to do is win. Should be easy right?

Cal Ripken Jr. recalls how he used to deal with sign-stealers
"In a really harsh way, you tell the pitcher to put down a curveball, the guy on second tells the hitter that a curveball's coming, and then you throw a pitch [at the batter's head]," Ripken said on The Takeout podcast with CBS' Major Garrett. "And I'll tell you that you break the trust between that sign-stealing scheme that's going on with the hitter."

Nebraska Recruiting: Big Decision Looms for College Football Recruiting | Hail Varsity
May 13 is an important date for college football recruiting.
The Division I Council Coordination Committee met Wednesday. They discussed several things related to relaxing recruiting rules during the dead period. We have a handy write-up to help make sense of it as several decisions were made to ease the burden on schools, prospects and their families. There was one major topic the committee could not reach a consensus on. We don’t know yet whether the current recruiting dead period will be extended through the end of June or not.
Husker Polling: Which underclassman DB carves out biggest role?
The mix of veterans and confident newcomers was one we hoped to see get put in the blender this spring when it came to the Nebraska secondary. Instead, the patient wait. Well, sort of patient.
In the meantime, here's a quick trip to our Husker Polling station with those guys in mind.
