A nice surprise to this years team

Nebraska basketball has been in need of some decent height in the paint and Fred Hoibergs staff seems to have found someone to fill that area. Eduardo Andre of Chandler Arizona committed and takes the last scholarship spot in the 2020 recruiting class.

Eduardo is a 6’10” 220 pound center comes to us from Compass Prep. He had offers from the likes of Auburn, Illinois, Houston, and Illinois among others. Not a bad lineup for the Huskers to steal from.

As with other athletes right now, Andre visited Nebraska virtually and talked to the staff online before committing to the team. According to him he liked how he would fit into Hoibergs system. Even stating that he enjoys playing defense more than he likes shooting. This is music to Husker fans ears knowing how Nebraska struggled last year defending this hoop.

Having someone defending the paint will go a long ways once conference play starts this upcoming season. Hopefully he will take advantage of Nebraska’s training table and weight room to put on some weight to take on the bigger centers in the conference.
