Nebraska pulls out a surprise and adds a punter to their 2020 recruiting class.
An Australian rules punter at that.

According to 247, Cerni is part of ProKick Australia, an organization that helps develop and place punters in American football. Who knew?
Nebraska could benefit from good punting, as Isaac Armstrong, the punter the last two seasons, has graduated and moved on. Michigan State transfer William Przystup is available. Tyler Crawford from Oklahoma and Sami Khawja from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida are other options on special teams.
Does everyone go “OH GOSH A PUNTER” and jump up and down?
Probably not, but given Nebraska’s problems on special teams the last two years we should. Our beloved Huskers were 87th nationally and 9th in the Big Ten in punting average last season at 40.86.
If nothing else, maybe we won’t run out of reliable legs in the coming season.
