It is finals week at the ranch - for the high school senior anyway. His last day of school is this Friday.

I get to proctor his calculus test later today - after we’re done with some cattle processing.

On Friday, we will celebrate the graduating seniors by turning on the football field lights at the school and then driving around town. No one is supposed to get out of their vehicles, but at least we get to celebrate the kids a little bit.

I’m sure we will have a graduation party for him at some point this summer. I’m not sure when and I’m not sure how many people will travel to attend, but we will put up the decorations and eat some cake.

Mmmm. Life is always better with a little bit of cake.
