In case you were wondering about the state of Nebraska football here is another bit of information to gauge on where it stands. Former Nebraska football quarterback and Nebraska basketball shooting guard has entered the transfer portal.
SOURCE: #Nebraska QB Noah Vedral is entering the transfer portal. Vedral, who began his career at #UCF, played in six games in 2019. He started two games for the Huskers. Vedral is a grad transfer with almost a 4.0 GPA and has two years of eligibility left.

So the remaining scholarship quarterbacks on the roster at this time is Adrian Martinez, Luke McCaffrey and Logan Smothers.
A quick summary of the off-season transfer out of the Nebraska football program.
Noah Vedral will be the 11th scholarship player with remaining eligibility to leave the Nebraska program this offseason. Three were dismissed, one (medical) retirement. Seven are set to transfer.

My glass half-full take? He looked at Adrian Martinez, more significantly Luke McCaffrey, and thought that his chances of playing might be minimal. He knows he is more than capable to play at the college level and wants that chance.
Glass half-empty take? Looks at the state of the program and he is running out as it is burning down!
Or it could be somewhere in the middle.
Genuinely, we wish Noah Vedral success wherever he ends up going. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
