How A Frog Broke Me Down

And other news to start your day

I am not an overly emotional person.

I usually keep my cool for the most part. I have always believed that keeping a level head under stress was the ideal way to be a productive and contributing member of society. Not everyone is and that’s okay.

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I cried. Not that crying is bad. Many people believe that crying is good and I generally agree with that statement. Studies have proved it. There is psychological and biological benefits to “letting it all out”.

For whatever reason, it’s just not me.

But yesterday I saw this video and after listening to it, I broke down.

I have always liked this song but it never really struck too much of an emotional chord with me. I was sitting on the couch in our basement with my 3 year old son. He was having a milk and relaxing before bed. We watched the video together. He said he liked the song and it made him happy. I held him tight and we watched it to the very end. He then went back to looking at his book.

I then excused myself and went into the bathroom where I lost it.

These are interesting times we live in now. None of us have any idea what will happen in the next month let alone the next two days. I still go to work every day and distantly deal with the public. Psychologically, I am starting to believe that we will be affected more than we know for the long run.

In life there is no easy answer. In regards to what we are dealing with now, I believe that there is no right answer. It’s a day by day process that we just have to wake up and deal with while time passes by.

Will we be fine in the long run? Sure, we will.

Until then, take care of yourself physically and mentally. The chances of you getting through this healthy will increase and you will be happier for it.

Anyway, on to flakes...
