Frosted Flakes: A Virtual Spring Game

Wouldn’t it be more fun played on Tecmo Super Bowl?

While we all know that the Nebraska Red and White Game that was supposed to be on Saturday was cancelled, the athletic department announced that they will have a Virtual Spring Game played on a NCAA Football platform.

I was thinking that it’d be more fun to see it played on Tecmo Super Bowl. Then again, this probably has to do with nostalgia of beating my brothers in that game many times. I’m guessing they will disagree with the fact that I beat them a lot, but they are wrong. They are always wrong.

How could I not have won when I my signature move on offense was a Hail Mary and on defense it was a blitz ? 60 percent of the time it worked every time.

I never advanced to video games above those played on a Super Nintendo. Tecmo Super Bowl and Donkey Kong were really the pinnacle of my gaming. So while others may argue that NCAA Football will probably look more realistic, I will sit back and imagine the grainy little players on Tecmo Super Bowl with a smile on my face.
