Nebraska Recruiting: Linebacker Christopher Paul Jr Commits to the Huskers!

#All’N

Great news in an otherwise Eeyore-ish news cycle!

Christopher Paul Jr, a 6-1 217lb three star inside linebacker from Cordele, Georgia has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers! Chris chose Nebraska over Michigan State and Cincinnati. An unofficial visit was taken by Chris last fall during the Wisconsin game. The family atmosphere of the coaches really stood out to him at that time. His school, like many others, is currently shut down, giving him plenty of time to think about things at home, and he decided to make the call today!

Chris has some interesting highlights. He plays long for a 6-1 defender. I also liked how he keeps his eyes on the quarterback and his shoulder pads square to the sidelines. He has great vision of where the play and the ball are going. He doesn’t appear fast, but he ran down everyone on defense, and ran away from everyone on offense. While he shows great strength, those arm tackles aren’t going cut it at the next level.

I want to make a joke about bees to honey here, or perhaps something referring to high fructose corn syrup, but we had puppies and I’m not getting a lot of sleep. So help me out in the comments, please!

Welcome to the Husker family, Christopher! GBR!
