Nebrasketball: Western Illinois Guard Kobe Webster Commits To The Huskers

Nebraska nabs a grad transfer for the upcoming season

NCAA Basketball: Western Illinois at Indiana Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Well, there is no rest for recruiting. Even with the country currently on “lockdown”. On Saturday Fred Hoiberg and his staff were able to secure the commitment of Kobe Webster from Western Illinois.

The 6’ guard averaged 17.1 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds for Western Illinois and shot 41.7% from the floor. While there he was a three year starter for the Lumberjacks. He was a second team All-Summit League his sophomore season.

Kobe will be a graduate transfer and will have two years of eligibility remaining at Nebraska as he has not redshirted. He picked the Huskers over the likes of Wake Forest, Arkansas, & Xavier.
