With the season ending injury of Matej Kavas last month, suspension of Cam Mack last week, and now departure of Dachon Burke Jr. from the team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are in need of bodies at this point as they have just seven available scholarship players. Well, look no further as the team announced today that quarterback Noah Vedral and offensive lineman Brant Banks will be joining the team for the conference tournament. While it is likely that the team will not advance past the Indiana Hoosiers tomorrow night, it will be interesting to see if either player added today will see court time in the game.

As a point of reference, don’t forget that Vedral helped lead the Wahoo Bishop Neumann Cavaliers to their third state championship in the past four years in basketball as a senior. Vedral is 6’1” and weighs 200 lbs. Expect him to help in a guard position if he sees the floor.

Brant Banks is 6’7” and weighs 300 lbs. He will likely fit in as a center given his bulk, but could see play at the 4 given his height. Banks is a redshirt freshman out of Houston, Texas.
