Frosted Flakes: Perfect Football Weather

Or Since It’s February, Zoo Weather

Sunday had the perfect weather for football. It was 50 degrees and sunny with a light breeze.

The only problem is it is February and there was no Husker football game to go to. My family did the next best thing and hit up the best zoo in the country.

My boys love to go to the Kingdom of The Night and see the alligators. While we were walking through we also had to check out all of the snakes and go to the Desert Dome which also has a lot of snakes.

I’m not a big fan of snakes, but normally they don’t bother me too much at the zoo. They are behind the glass and usually curled up or hidden in the trees.

On Sunday we were watching one of them and it was moving around and sticking out its tongue and I could not stop thinking about Harry Potter. There is a scene in the first book in which Harry goes to the zoo with the Dursleys. While Dudley is banging on the glass of a snake’s cage, the glass suddenly disappears and the snake crawls out. I kept imagining this happening while this snake was up in the air and my boys were staring up at it. I was a little freaked out and was quite pleased when they decided to move on and check out The Asian Highlands instead.
