Same old, Same old.
Nebraska played Wisconsin tight for a half, then gave up a big run in the second half to watch the Badgers run away with the game and hand our beloved Huskers their straight tenth loss.
Wisconsin lead 39-38 at half, with both teams shooting fairly even. Nebraska was 15-34 for 44.1%, while Wisconsin was 15-33 for 45.5%. The Badgers shot 6-18 for 33.3% on 3s, while the Huskers shot 5-15 for 33%.
The second half was a different story.
Nebraska lead by two, 43-41 at 18:28 in the second half. Wisconsin went on a 21-2 run to lead by 17 points at 12:34 after D’Mitrik Trice hit a three. The Huskers got within 10 at 7:45, but that was as close as they’d get the rest of the game.
Hannif Cheatham lead the Huskers with 17 points, Dachon Burke added 10. Cam Mack and Thorir Thorbjarnarson added 8 apiece.
The Baders were lead by Brad Davison, who scored a career-high 30 points. Trice and Micah Potter added 15 and Nate Reuvers added another 15.
NU falls to 7-18 overall and 2-12 in conference. At least our beloved Huskers are ahead of Northwestern in the Big Ten standings.
