2019-20 Record: 14-10 (7-6 Big Ten)

Coach: Greg Gard (5th Season)

Last Meeting: Wisconsin 82 Nebraska 68

Preview:

The Badgers have had a season of ups and downs so far. Guard Kobe King has left the team. Another Guard, Brad Davison, was suspended for one game for punching a player in the groin.

More recently, strength coach Erik Helland was dismissed for using a racial slur. A situation that is kind of hard to describe but you can read more about it here.

The last time Nebraska saw Wisconsin the Badgers handed Nebraska a strong loss in Madison. Nebraska played it close early on before Wisconsin took control of the game in the second half.

Since then they have gone 2-3 with wins over Michigan State and Ohio State. Not too bad of wins to teams that have struggled off and on this season. Their losses have been to Purdue Iowa and Minnesota. I guess what you can take away form this is that the Big Ten really is a fist fight every night. Some of the scores may not show it, but many of these games could have gone either way depending on the night.

Wisconsin is still be lead by forward Nate Reuvers. The 6’11” junior is averaging 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and is shooting 45% from the floor. In the win against Nebraska in January he had 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots.

D’Mitrik Trice is next up for the Badgers with 9.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. The 6’ guard also had 11 points against the Huskers along with a whopping 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the win.

Prediction:

Well, are we going to get the Cornhusker squad that was rocked by Iowa or are we going to get the one who took the Terps down to the wire? I honestly have no idea here. So, I’ll go fully on crazy with this game.
