Prep School ATH Marques Buford is Officially A Husker!

The Illinois/Texas/Connecticut athlete signed his LOI, joining the Husker family.

Marques Buford signed his LOI this morning, officially joining the Husker family! The 6'0 190 lb. Buford attends St. Thomas More Prep in Oakdale, Connecticut, where he is spending a gap year. Marques originally graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Cedar Hill, Texas, the same school as ousted RB Maurice Washington. Additionally, he is originally from Chicago suburb Bolingbrook, Illinois, and spent his first two years at Bolingbrook High.

Marques originally committed to Florida State out of high school, however, after Willie Taggart was ousted from Tallahassee Buford reconsidered his plans and opted to go the prep school route. He chose Nebraska over Pittsburgh, Cal, Iowa State, Washington State & Texas A&M.

Akelo's Analysis:

Marques is BADLY UNDERRATED. His film is AMAZING! He is electric as a returner & receiver, and he makes plays at cornerback and safety! Nebraska definitely got them a stud here! With the graduation of 3 seniors & Cam Taylor-Britt's soon-to-be departure, he could find himself getting playing time early. Additionally, his mom follows me on Twitter and is super cool!

Welcome to Nebraska, Marques! GBR!
