The Nebraska Cornhuskers Big Ten season opener against the No. 12 Wisconsin Badgers in Madison has been moved back one day. Originally schedule for Monday, Dec. 21st, the game will now be played Tuesday, Dec. 22nd. The game will still tip off at 7 p.m. EST/6 CST and remains on FS1.

The schedule change is a result of Wisconsin’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchup against Louisville being rescheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 19. In order to allow a more reasonable turn around time for the Badgers, the game has been pushed back one day.
Following the Wisconsin game, the Huskers will have a shortened turnaround time themselves as the No. 25 Michigan Wolverines come to Lincoln three days later for a Christmas Day matchup. Wisconsin also plays on Christmas in East Lansing against No. 4 Michigan State.
Doane Reportedly Being Added To Schedule
There have been reports, though no firm confirmation yet, that the Doane Tigers will be coming to Lincoln on Thursday, Dec. 17 of this week to replace the Florida A&M game for Nebraska. Florida A&M was originally schedule to play in Lincoln on Sunday, Dec. 6 but had to cancel due to COVID-19 concerns.
Nebraska last hosted the Tigers in a 91-63 Husker win last season in an exhibition game.
Additionally, Trevor Lakes may become eligible by the time of that matchup should the NCAA pass a blanket waiver under consideration at a meeting this Wednesday.
And, the #Huskers are close to finalizing a game Thursday against Doane. That would be the make-up game for the cancelled Florida A&M contest.
