Minnesota started this game down 33 players. Two starters were missing from the offensive line and one from the defensive line. The Gophers were down to four defensive tackles and two tight ends.

The Gopher possession started at the Nebraska 35. Luke McCaffrey came in at quarterback after Adrian Martinez left the field due to injury. McCaffrey threw two passes, one incomplete, and one complete to Minnesota as the Nebraska receiver failed to catch the pass directly in his hands and it bounced into the hands of Tyler Nubin. Tyler Nubin is not a Nebraska player.
Nebraska’s defense forced a 4th and 1. Mo Ibrahim scored on a direct snap run for 26 yards.

Minnesota started in Nebraska territory as Husker punter Tyler Crawford got off a 8-yard punt off the side of his foot.
The Gophers put a short drive together and scored. Anders Gelecinskyj made his first field goal of the year.

Nebraska got the ball back, starting at the 25. They moved down the field easily as if the start of the second quarter triggered some type of adrenaline release. Martinez hit Wyatt Liewer for 8 yards, then Wan’Dale Robinson ripped off a 47-yard run to the Minnesota 20.
Minnesota forced a third and one, which Martinez picked up on a nice run with a lead block by Mills. Martinez then hit Austin Allen for his first career touchdown reception.

Nebraska 14 - 10
Nebraska started on their own 27 after Minnesota turned it over on downs. The Huskers put together a nice mix of run and pass as Martinez carried the ball four times, including the scoring run and picking up a third and two. He hit Jack Stoll for two pass plays, including one first down.
Martinez scored from eight yards out on an off tackle run with lead blockers executed to perfection!

Minnesota started at the 25. On the second play of the drive, Cam Wiley took off on a 61-yard run to the Nebraska 14.
Nebraska had the Gophers stopped when Tanner Morgan was stopped short on a scramble on 3rd and 14, but was hit hard by Cam Taylor-Britt. After review, Taylor-Britt was disqualified for targeting and Minnesota got a first down.
Tanner Morgan hit Brevyn Spann-Ford for a four yard touchdown pass.
