The Golden Window Classic is finally official, or at least as official as anything in 2020 can be. The Pinnacle Bank Arena (PBA) ticket office formally announced ticket sales information for the event to be held at both PBA and the Devaney Sports Center earlier today.
While initially hoping to be as large as 16-teams, the tournament will feature eight teams from across the country. It will begin on the opening day of the college basketball season and run from Nov. 25-29. Besides the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the field will include:
- LSU Tigers
- St. Louis
- Northern Iowa
- Western Kentucky
- San Francisco
- Nevada
- Illinois State
The field includes three teams that received votes in the Preseason AP Poll. LSU received the highest votes outside the Top-25 (146), while Saint Louis (8) and Northern Iowa (1) also received votes.
Tickets will go on sale this week with a 25-percent capacity for fans at PBA. No fans will be allowed at games played in the Devaney Sports Center, however.
The tournament is officially hosted by third party Elevate Hoops. The matchups, game times, television/network information, and arena policies will be announced at a later day.
