Now that Halloween is over with, it’s time to decorate for Christmas!

No, I’m not forgetting about Thanksgiving, but it’s more fun to decorate for Christmas. If in any year you can decorate early, 2020 is the year.

A conversation about this led to the Corn Nation staff ranking their favorite holidays.

Here are my top 4: 1.-Fourth of July: Four years ago my son was born on the Fourth of July, it will now always be my favorite. 2.-Christmas: The spirit of the holiday season gets me every time. I also like to buy presents for people, especially my kids. 3.-Thanksgiving: My mom’s side of the family used to celebrate Thanksmas on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving started around 1 and Christmas around 5. To appease Grandma we’d wait until “Christmas” to drink. Also, the food is delicious. 4.-Halloween: I think it’s fun to give people a reason to dress up and get together. Also making spooky themed dinners for my kids is pretty enjoyable too.

Here are what some of the others said:

Greg: 1- Christmas, 2-Thanksgiving, 3-Fourth of July, 4-St. Patrick’s Day

Nate P.: 1- Independence Day, 2.-Thanksgiving, 3.-Halloween, 4.-New Year’s Day

Nate M.: 1.-Christmas, 2.-Easter 3.- July 4th 4.-Halloween, 5.-Bank Holidays

Patrick: 1.-Thanksgiving (eat and watch football), 2.-St. Patrick’s Day (named after me), 3.- Feastivus

Jon: 1.-Christmas, 2.-Thankgiving, 3.-New Year’s Day, because there’s football on all of them or around them, 4.- Memorial Day - because there’s college baseball tourneys and fishing and honor and 5.- July 4th which sucks in Minnesota unless you have illegal fireworks.

What are your favorites?

On to the flakes.
