The Golden Window Classic is suddenly feeling a little more like Pyrite today as reports are out that four of the seven teams in the field announced alternative plans. While the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Chadron State, and Nevada remain participants of the event, Western Kentucky, LSU, San Francisco, and Saint Louis have all pulled out of the event for alternate plans.
With such a long list of changes, let’s start with St. Louis and LSU. The Billikens have decided to host their own event in St. Louis and LSU will be participating in it along with SIUE.
Saint Louis has now sent out a release that it will host the Billiken Classic at Chafeitz Arena.

With Creighton withdrawing from the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic due to having to pause team activities due to COVID-19 issues, Western Kentucky apparently got the invite to replace the Bluejays and accepted.

Finally, San Francisco is going transcontinental for their flight instead of halfway. The Dons will be joining “bubbleville” at the Mohegan Sun event. This giant 40-to-45 team event is quite the makeshift casino bubble for the start of the season.

Dons will play Towson, Stephen F. Austin, and Army.
No word yet on replacements, but the Huskers are working on finding other programs. We will keep you updated with schedule news as it develops.
Source tells me the Nebraska multi-team event is "currently in talks with multiple schools about the openings and hope to have a resolution shortly." #Huskers
